Aitefasi offers a wide selection of solid carbide end mill (solid carbide end mill milling and high speed steel milling) to ensure that you can do your work most efficiently at the most competitive price. Endmills are used in milling machines to remove blanks and workpieces from various materials in mass production, maintenance and repair applications. Choose from a variety of styles, including: finishing, rough machining, ball, fillet chamfering, etc. Tool materials include: solid carbide, cobalt, carbide steel and high speed steel. Cutting diameter includes decimal and metric dimensions.

Solid carbide end mill is a kind of milling cutter, a cutting tool for industrial milling application. Solid carbide end mill  can cut in all directions, although some cannot cut axially. End mills are used for milling applications such as side milling, profiling, end milling and cutting. Solid carbide end mills are used to process steel, cast iron, superalloy and non-ferrous materials. Solid carbide end mill s speed up machining and leave a better finish on metal parts. Carbide end mills can withstand higher temperatures than high-speed steel tools.

Solid carbide end mills are composed of metal matrix composites, in which carbide particles act as aggregates and metal adhesives act as matrix. The process of combining carbide particles with binder is called sintering. In this process, the binder will eventually enter the liquid phase, while the carbide (with higher melting point) will remain in the solid phase. The binder embeds / consolidates carbide particles to form metal matrix composites with unique material properties. The natural malleable metal binder can counteract the characteristic brittleness of the carbonated ceramics, thus improving its toughness and durability. These parameters of carbide can be changed significantly within the influence of carbide manufacturer, which mainly depends on grain size and cobalt content.

The unit price of solid carbide end mill is more expensive than other typical tool materials, and it is more fragile, easy to break and break. In order to solve these problems, the cutting edge of carbide end mill usually adopts the form of small blade, which is used for the larger tool with taper, and its handle is made of another material, usually carbon tool steel. This brings the advantage of using cemented carbide at the cutting interface without the high cost and brittleness of using cemented carbide to make the whole tool. Most modern face milling cutters use carbide inserts as well as many lathe and end mills.

In order to prolong the service life of solid carbide end mill, sometimes they are coated. Four such coatings are tin (titanium nitride), TiC (titanium carbide), Ti (c) n (titanium carbide nitride) and TiAlN (titanium nitride aluminum). Most coatings usually increase the hardness and / or lubricity of the tool. The coating allows the cutting edge of the tool to pass cleanly through the material without scratching or sticking it. The coating also helps to reduce the temperature associated with the cutting process and extend the life of the tool. Coatings are usually deposited by thermal CVD and, for some applications, by mechanical PVD at lower temperatures.
