WHY DO ALLOY MILLING CUTTERS ALWAYS BREAK DOWN? HOW TO IMPROVE?
 May 06, 2019|View:1132

The reason of cutter breakage is explained by German KHC tungsten steel milling cutter technicians.
1. Cutter breaking may be related to the hardness of the workpiece. The hardness of the cutter is less than that of the workpiece, so the cutter breaking.
2. The cutting tool is broken because of the low speed of the workpiece, the large feed, or the fast speed and the small feed.
3. There is a problem with the designed tool angle.
4. Whether the tool is sharp enough;
5. It is also possible that the feed speed is too fast when the knife is fed, resulting in knife breakage.
6. It is also possible that the clamp is not very tight when the knife is loaded, resulting in knife breakage.
7. When loading the cutter, the clamping handle is too short, which results in the cutter being not rigid enough and cutter breaking.
